Position Overview:
As a Systems Technician II, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support for both our internal staff and external customers. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving end-user issues, as well as addressing network and system-wide problems in diverse environments. Your role will involve utilizing internal toolsets for proactive monitoring of customer environments, ensuring uptime, and swiftly resolving outages. You will be expected to take ownership of service requests until they are successfully resolved, regardless of escalation status.

Functional Work Items to be Performed:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures.
  • Deploy, monitor, and support Atom Creek solutions.
  • Accept assignments and enter updates into the online ticketing system for ticket resolution and time tracking.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn through self-study, including pursuing certification exams.
  • Assess situations, communicate troubleshooting steps, and deliver or assist with resolutions.
  • Adapt to and use new technologies, including internal business solutions and service delivery applications.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation providing after-hours support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and response for clients or alerts from our monitoring system. (May include holiday hours)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Produce I-9 documentation (Be legally eligible to work in the United States).
  • Complete a personality profile.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
  • Work at a desk and on a laptop computer.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for seamless interaction with peers, management, and clients.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to our HQ, data center, customer sites, and the airport.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, whether defined by the customer or the Atom Creek Management Team.
  • Target-driven with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to obtaining relevant certifications as needed.
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience with VMware
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Online Services
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with data protection and business continuity
  • Experience with Professional Services Application (PSA), i.e., Autotask
  • Experience with Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tools, i.e., Auvik, VSA
  • Experience with switching, routing, and Next Generation Firewalls
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A basic understanding of Linux
  • Ability to complete other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Certifications such as Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator, and VMware preferred.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 depending on experience, certifications, and working knowledge.
